CREASYS PARTICIPATES AT SEMINAR “COST PARAMETRIC ESTIMATION” IN TURIN

Turin – Thursday, May 11 Creasys participates at seminar, organized by the Order of Engineers of the Province of Turin with the collaboration of the Aeronautical Commission, entitled “The parametric estimation of design costs”. The seminar at the second edition (the first in June 2015) aims to make known the use of the parametric estimation of the operating costs of a civilian aircraft or a drone with civilian use. The seminar program is divided into two phases, the first with an introductory part to the topic and its application and the second with examples to show and understand the methodology. These estimates are very useful in a program definition phase, when it comes to evaluating the possible operating cost of a fleet of aircraft that the airline or an operator (in the case of a drone or UAV) is about to acquire. In addition, the main operating cost and “cost driver” items, the main methodologies for calculating the parameters related to maintenance (e.g. statistical methodologies), the types of maintenance (programmed, unscheduled, on condition) are explained and how these elements impact on the costs themselves. In this sense, the role of the Engineer becomes fundamental to have a reliable parametric estimate.
